Who We Are

In early 2002, four creative and adventurous naturalist educators worked together to formulate a unique education model that combined outdoor exploration with the concepts of magical realism and mythic journey. Terra-Forma Education and the Eco-Quest program were born. With a lot of hard work and incredible help from our community, we are happy to be entering our eighth season of summer adventures. Based on participant return rates and rave reviews from parents, this model is a proven success. With continued good fortune and good help, we look to bring our experience to an ever-growing audience.

Caveman
Terra-Forma Education’s lead mentor and Director of Education Programs is Dave "Caveman" Friedman

Caveman has been mentoring young people in nature since 1997. In his quest to nurture Mother Earth, he creates a world of magic and wonder that captivates young adventuring minds. His passion for connecting with ecosystems through observation and experience, provides an excellent inspiration for the naturalists of the next generation. He continues to be a role model by having fun, remembering to stay young, being creative, learning daily and sharing his knowledge with others.

Caveman graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology.
