Learn the Ancient Ways of the Water People

July 25-29
This session is full.

For millennia, people around the globe have lived near water sources and relied upon the water for their survival. As the global climate changes, this ancient knowledge is in danger of being lost forever. Can your tribe learn the ancient ways and save them for use by future generations? Are you able to work with others, help out when needed, or volunteer to be a leader? Seek out the wisdom of those that have come before and explore the watery realms in search of answers.

You and your tribe must demonstrate your understanding of the five pillars of leadership. Can your team earn knowledge beads by learning the lost arts of:

Myth of the Miocene Megasaur
Did a large dinosaur species live through the great extinction?

Session I: August 1-5 Only 2 spaces available.
Session II (Southend)*: August 8-12 This session is full.

Scientists have known that most dinosaur species went extinct about 65 million years ago in the Cretaceous era, but did all of the large dinosaurs disappear? Like the coelacanth, perhaps a megasaur lived much longer than previously thought. The possibility remains that a species of large dinosaur lived into the Miocene era, 20 million years ago, but no evidence has been found to date. Join our expedition team as we search the Puget Sound region in an effort to be the first to discover rare megasaur fossils.

Do you have a sharp eye, good puzzle solving skills and a curious mind? Then you are the perfect fit for our exploration team! Join your fellow fossil hunters as we attempt to make history by:

- Identifying signs of animal activity
- Understanding how fossils are made
- Making your own fossil
- Learning how to uncover artifacts safely
- Taking a journey through geologic time!
